As it just so happens, it appears that the story is taking an unpredictable turn, with more attention being given to Sunagakure, which fans know to be a very important location in the world of Naruto.

This is a great move by the author and injects new blood into the Boruto series, and, once again, goes to show that Two Blue Vortex is fixing the many issues with the series, and making it more exciting than ever before.

Boruto Uzumaki’s Interrogation Gave Konoha Vital Information

  • Boruto Uzumaki Was Captured By Konoha
  • Boruto Gave Konoha Key Intel

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 14 began with the interrogation of Boruto Uzumaki. This is something that fans knew would happen in this month’s chapter, especially because it was already set up in the previous issue of the series. After Boruto was shot by Jura, the ones who took him were none other than Konoha, and, as they did that, they wanted to get as much information out of him as possible before executing him. Konoha asked questions, specifically related to the Shinju. Boruto Uzumaki gave them every bit of information that he had, which even explained new things to fans.

Jura is the incarnation of the Ten-Tails itself! – Boruto

For instance, Boruto explained to Konoha how these Shinju are created, and how all of them have parent bodies. However, while he was revealing this interesting bit of information, he also made it quite clear that Jura, the strongest of the Shinju, has no parent body. He’s the strongest of them all, and the easiest way to take out the Shinju is to remove the head, which is Jura. However, he is the reincarnation of the Ten-Tails itself, which essentially means that taking him out is not easy in any way. Boruto, strong as he is, cannot accomplish that at this point in time, and he has already received a taste of his strength. If Boruto can’t defeat him, then, other characters in Konoha have no chance, unless they join forces with him in a joint effort to take him out.

Fans also got to see Boruto make it clear to the Konoha village Elders that Naruto and Hinata are both alive. Of course, they did not believe him at first, but Boruto clearly stated that he had no reason to lie. When asked about where exactly they were, he did not reveal their location. This was an attempt to protect Kawaki, because Boruto still harbors feelings of love for him, and would never sell out his own brother.

How Shikamaru Helped Boruto Escape

The Eighth Hokage Came To The Rescue Of Boruto Uzumaki

Boruto Uzumaki managed to escape from Konoha successfully. Although it appeared as if escape was going to be impossible for him, especially when seeing Amado’s Jutsu preventing shackles on him, fans saw Shikamaru be aware of the fact that Boruto is Naruto’s son and that he has traded places with Kawaki. However, it has also been made clear in the story that Omnipotence works in mysterious ways and essentially overrides the memories, no matter how many times the user finds out the truth. That is what makes this Jutsu as overpowered as it is, and that is precisely why Shikamaru kept forgetting that Boruto is actually blameless. But, despite forgetting the events, he kept the memory that he decided to trust Boruto and went against his own instincts. It is this very clever step that Shikamaru took that helped him trust Boruto Uzumaki, and also paved the way for his escape.

Are you still looking for your sun, Mitsuki? – Boruto

To make this possible, Shikamaru summoned Mitsuki, and asked him to go deal with Boruto. While Konoha deemed this to be a reckless command, Mitsuki did what was asked of him and made it seem like he was going for Boruto’s life, when in actuality, he used his snakes to free Boruto’s shackles, and gave him an opportunity to escape. That is precisely how Boruto’s Uzumaki ended up escaping. Using the Flying Thunder guard technique, he secured his belongings, and left in the village for good. Now, Boruto is free, and Konoha has been given very important information from none other than the protagonist of the series, which means that they are now ready to move in a new direction to seek out the Shinju and deal with them.

As for what Konoha plans to do next, it is quite easy for the fans to predict. This is simply because at the very end of the chapter, a new exciting Arc was set up by the author, and it appears that the young shinobi from Konoha will be setting out on a very important mission that will see them go to a different country, and head to a Village that fans are very familiar with already, Sunagakure.

Sunagakure Is Attacked By The Shinju

Gaara Has Been Taken Out Already

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 14 made it quite clear that Kankuro contacted Shikamaru and asked him for help. According to Kankuro, Shinju attacked the village, and Gaara was taken down. As for how Gaara was taken down, fans do not know yet. What is clear is that Gaara was defeated and is currently being treated, which means that his injuries must be pretty severe. At the same time, it was also clear that Shinki, Gaara’s adoptive son, took part in the battle. He wasn’t as lucky as Gaara, and was essentially taken down.

Shinki was likely bitten by a Claw Grime or turned by the shinju directly into a tree. As Shinki has now been turned into a tree, that explains who the previous Shinju that was revealed in the chapter was. Shinki is the base for the new Shinju that fans saw, and the scene was immediately followed by the Awakening of the new Shinju in Jura’s base. The new Shinju is named Ryu, and he’s clearly based on Shinki, as is evident from his tattoos.

Fans do not know much about Ryu’s personality as things stand. What is clear is that he will be heading to Sunagakure soon, which is why sought help from Konoha. This essentially means that Konoha might send forces in an attempt to help Gaara, and at the same time, try to save Shinki as well. As that happens, fans know that the next Arc of Boruto is going to be set in this particular village, which makes readers very excited, as it will solve one of the major criticisms that fans have had of the Boruto series. Of course, fans will have to wait for a month for further developments in the plot, but given how things are going right now, readers absolutely cannot wait to see where Ikemoto takes them next.

Boruto is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus app. The release date for the next chapter of Boruto, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 15, is set to be October 20, 2024.
