At one point in time, Ben Simmons was considered to be one of the best two-way players in the NBA, as he was a unique talent who could play the point guard position with his height, standing at 6’10”, which is something that doesn’t usually happen.
Simmons was part of a lethal one-two punch for the Philadelphia 76ers, playing alongside fellow star Joel Embiid, who hadn’t quite reached an MVP level but was on his way while making the storied franchise relevant again.
Unfortunately for Simmons, things took a turn for the worst in the NBA playoffs as he fell apart in a very public way, which is something that players on the professional level struggle to come back from in the City of Brotherly Love, as fans in Philadelphia can be ruthless.
Ultimately, Simmons pushed his way out of Philadelphia, resulting in him getting a fresh start with the Brooklyn Nets, which was even more of a disaster for the once-promising basketball star.
Simmons has played in only 57 games for the Nets since landing in Brooklyn, which isn’t ideal, but he continues to be seen in these workout videos during the NBA offseason, which only leads to outraging basketball fans via NBA Central.

Hopefully, for Simmons’ sake, the veteran guard can turn things around during the upcoming 2024-25 NBA regular season, even though there’s been a lot of speculation about the Nets trying to move him.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens to Simmons moving forward and whether his future is in Brooklyn or elsewhere in the NBA.
