The Cincinnati Bengals have been one of the more disappointing teams to watch through two weeks of the 2024 NFL season as they’ve dropped games to the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs.

Health is already an issue for the Bengals as they’ve been without some of their key starters, namely Tee Higgins who has been dealing with a hamstring injury.

However, Week 3 represents a great opportunity for Cincinnati to pick up its first win of the year as they’ll take on the lowly Washington Commanders.

The Commanders’ porous defense should give Joe Burrow and company the chance to get back on track defensively, while their offense isn’t very threatening outside of Jayden Daniels’ rushing ability.

Ahead of the Week 3 matchup, the Bengals released their injury report which features only two players officially ruled out via Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic.

#Bengals injury report lists TE Tanner Hudson and DT Sheldon Rankins as out. DT BJ Hill is doubtful. DT Kris Jenkins Jr. and S Vonn Bell are questionable. WR Tee Higgins and OL Amarius Mims both went full today and are not listed on the report, set to make 2024 debuts,” Dehner reported.

Sheldon Rankins being listed as out hurts the defensive line, but there’s little consequence to Tanner Hudson’s absence given that Mike Gesicki is available.

The defensive line should be able to still generate pressure on Daniels who has struggled passing the football so far, though this game should still likely come down to Burrow and the offense putting up points.
