Beyond the Spider-Verse Delay Rumors Debunked by Composer: “Not Always Accurate”

Spider-Verse composer Daniel Pemberton has addressed the reports of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse getting scrapped due to creative differences and made it clear that reports of the project getting delayed are not true.

Spider-Verse is one of the most successful franchises and garnered much praise. The first movie, Into the Spider-Verse, received a lot of recognition and won several accolades. On the other hand, its sequel, Across the Spider-Verse, turned out to be equally brilliant. However, recent reports suggested that the third film in the series, Beyond the Spider-Verse, has been scrapped because of creative differences. But it seems those reports were just plain rumors and Pemberton has advised fans to not believe everything they see or read on social.

While addressing the delay rumors of Beyond the Spider-Verse, the composer dismissed claims about the ongoing delays and creative changes in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, stating that the rumors are entirely false. Moreover, Pemberton mentioned that while he typically avoids responding to online speculation, he wanted to take this opportunity to put the rumors to rest. Additionally, he claimed that everything on the internet should not be taken as the final word. Pemberton wrote, “Don’t really ever want to weigh in on this sort of stuff BUT would you ever believe there could sometimes be stuff on the internet that might not always be particularly accurate? Hmmmm…” His response should be enough to make people understand Beyond the Spider-Verse is not scrapped.

Pemberton’s comments are similar to the response given by the Spider-Verse writer Christopher Miller. The producer also opened up about the rumors of Beyond the Spider-Verse getting delayed, making it clear that the film has not been scrapped. Additionally, Miller indicated that reels are coming on “nicely.” Taking it to Twitter, Miller wrote, “Nothing has been scrapped. The reels are coming along nicely. The statements made by Miller should be taken as the final word because he is the one directly responsible for the films. Also, it would be shocking to see such a brilliant and successful franchise getting scrapped because of creative differences. Sony has been quite unlucky when it comes to superhero projects. But Spider-Verse is one of those rare franchises that has performed exceptionally well for the studio giant.

The above-mentioned comments confirm that Sony and the filmmakers are dedicated to releasing Beyond the Spider-Verse in theaters as soon as possible. Losing a highly anticipated film like this, which has the potential to be both a box office success and critically acclaimed, would be a huge mistake. Fans are especially eager to see the continuation of the franchise after the cliffhanger ending of Across the Spider-Verse. But fans would have to wait a little longer for the final film to arrive in theaters because the makers wouldn’t want to take chances with the quality of the film. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to see how the story moves forward and ends an extraordinary saga.
