The Boston Celtics had to work incredibly hard to win their 18th championship just a few months ago.

But as tough as that was, they want to do it all over again in 2024-25.

Speaking to the press, per NBC Sports and ClutchPoints, Brad Stevens talked about the challenges that lie ahead for his team.

He said the pressure is on, expectations are high, and players will get worn out, disgruntled, and pushed to their limits often.

But they cannot stop and need to constantly remind themselves of their goals, Stevens said.

“This is the challenge. Focus on what we need to do today to start that journey and do it again,” Stevens said.

Stevens is making it clear that his team is taking a one-day-at-a-time approach to the season, which is a very smart move.

They have to handle every game as they come and not focus so much on the big picture surrounding them.

That picture, of course, is daunting because it’s hard for teams to win back-to-back championships.

It’ll be even harder for the Celtics because they will play against a tougher Eastern Conference this season.

Multiple teams have gotten better in the summer via trades and injury rehabilitation.

Therefore, the Eastern Conference they fight this year will be much harder than the one they faced last year.

The Celtics had a very long season and some of the players went on to participate in the Paris Olympics.

And now in a few weeks, they will be flung back into the difficult world of the NBA.

It won’t be easy but Stevens thinks they can win again if they approach things the right way.
