New York Jets rookie running back Braelon Allen had his breakout game in Week 2 against the Tennessee Titans and scored the first two touchdowns of his career to help his team to a 24-17 victory, which was both his and Aaron Rodgers’ first victories as Jets.
Allen had high praise for his quarterback after the game and made a strong claim about Rodgers’ place in NFL history.
During an appearance on Rear View, Allen said of Rodgers, “I think everybody can agree he’s the best thrower of the football of all time” and also praised his leadership and command of the offense.

Allen said he has watched Rodgers his entire life and was blown away when he first got to camp and saw him throw in person and said it’s a surreal experience to share a backfield with him and that he can’t say enough great things about him.
Allen is just 20 years old and Rodgers is 40, so it must be an unreal experience for the NFL’s youngest player to be catching touchdowns from an NFL legend who is twice his age.
Rodgers looks like his old self after the team’s first two games and he doesn’t look to have much rust to knock off after his debut season in New York ended after just four snaps due to a torn Achilles.
If Allen has more games like he did against Tennessee, he’ll be spending a lot more time on the field alongside Rodgers and will form one of the league’s most dangerous RB duos with Breece Hall.
