The 2024 season hasn’t exactly yielded the results the Carolina Panthers hoped.
After finishing 2023 with a 2-15 record, many believed that another offseason would help Bryce Young’s development and that he was headed down the right path.
While there’s still plenty of time for him to grow as a passer, the Panthers have seen enough, at least for the time being.
The team announced that Young is getting benched for Andy Dalton, a long-time veteran who will hopefully help them get out of their rut.
Young’s coaching staff aren’t the only ones who are tired of watching his performances, as Panthers fans are growing impatient.
As Ari Meirov highlighted on X, there was a sign at a Carolina restaurant that called out Young’s play to this point in a season.

The sign showed that former Panthers quarterbacks, Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold, have both started the year with 2-0 records on their new teams.
Matt Rhule, former head coach, has a 3-0 record with his new team, as well.
Are the Panthers just cursed?
Perhaps Young might play better on a different team, but it’s clear that the No. 1 overall pick hasn’t lived up to the lofty expectations placed upon him.
Whatever the case, the Panthers are eager to try out something new, hoping a fresh start at QB will be the catalyst they need to win their first game of the season.
Will it come against a Las Vegas Raiders squad in Week 3 that’s coming off an unexpected win over the Baltimore Ravens?
