One of the most anticipated games of Week 2 in the NFL was the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs taking on the rival Cincinnati Bengals, who were coming off a very disappointing Week 1 loss to the New England Patriots at Paycor Stadium in Ohio.

The Bengals looked like a team that might be in trouble after the loss to the Patriots, with New England thought to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, and the Bengals expected to bounce back after a disappointing 2023 campaign.

In another classic battle between these AFC heavyweights with superstar quarterbacks leading the way in Joe Burrow and Patrick Mahomes, neither team was willing to give up an inch in this game, which ended up tilting in the Chiefs’ favor once the clock expired in the fourth quarter.

The Bengals seemed to have the game in hand late in the fourth quarter, but then the tide turned, and Harrison Butker’s game-winning field goal was the deciding factor.

Cincinnati is now 0-2, with many questioning whether they can turn things around, but Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports doesn’t believe there’s a need to panic via The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

“I think they have a legitimate shot to face Kansas City in the AFC Championship,” Cowherd said.

With only two games in the books for the Bengals, there’s plenty of time to turn things around, especially considering the team’s upcoming schedule for the next two games.

The Bengals will host the lowly Washington Commanders (1-1) in Week 3 and then go on the road in Week 4 to take on perhaps the worst team in the league right now in the Carolina Panthers (0-2), who just made a change at quarterback from Bryce Young to veteran Andy Dalton.
