There was some good and some bad for the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3.
On the one hand, they had their best offensive outing of the season, putting up 436 total yards and 33 points, with Joe Burrow throwing for 324 yards and three touchdowns.
On the other hand, their defense couldn’t stop a rookie quarterback and allowed the Washington Commanders to put up 38 points and 356 total yards on offense.
As pointed out by Bleacher Report, this game was the first since 1940 in which there were no punts or turnovers.

Special teams were only there for field goals, extra-point attempts, or kick-offs, and defenses were pretty much non-existent.
The Commanders took an aggressive approach to the game.
They arrived in Ohio knowing that they weren’t the favorites and with nothing to lose, all while the Bengals were desperately craving a win to avoid falling to a 0-3 hole.
Jayden Daniels was spectacular from start to finish.
He put the league on notice by only missing two passes, going 21 of 23 for 254 yards and a couple of touchdown passes, the first of his career.
The Commanders went for it on 4th down multiple times, and they were clearly coaching Daniels to win.
He didn’t shy away from the bright lights and got a huge win in the first primetime game of his NFL career.
The Bengals, on the other hand, will look to become just the seventh team in NFL history to make the playoffs after a 0-3 start, but they will need to make some major changes on defense.
