“Wicked” actress Cynthia Erivo isn’t happy about a fan edit of the upcoming movie’s poster.

When the film’s official poster was released, fans of the noted that it resembled the Broadway musical’s Playbill cover- but it wasn’t quite identical.

In the movie’s poster, Erivo’s character Elphaba has green lips and her eyes are exposed. On the Playbill cover, Elphaba has red lips and her pointy black hat covers her eyes.

Both picture Glinda, played by Ariana Grande in the film, whispering in her ear.

However, Erivo wasn’t happy about this and slammed the artwork on her Instagram Stories on Oct. 16.

“This is the wildest, most offensive thing I have seen,” she wrote above the edit. “None of this is funny. None of it is cute. It degrades me. It degrades us.”

The “Harriet” actress further explained that the original poster “is an illustration” and that she’s a “real life human being who chose to look right down the barrel of the camera to you, the viewer… because, without words, we communicate with our eyes.”

“Our poster is an homage, not an imitation to edit my face and hide my eyes is to erase me. And that is just deeply hurtful.”

Erivo added another photo to her Stories showing the movie poster.

“Let me put this right here, to remind you and cleanse your palette,” she wrote.

In solidarity, the movie’s director Jon M. Chu reshared the slide to his own Stories.
