– On Sunday comes the change to mild weather in southern Norway, and we have danger warnings for ice in large parts of the country, writes the Meteorological Institute on X Saturday.
The danger warning covers large parts of both Eastern and Western Norway and extends past Steinkjer in the north. The meteorologists ask people to be careful if they are going to travel outdoors.
– The rain can come before the cold completely leaves the roof, and that leads to ice both on the roads and on other surfaces, they explain.
This can lead to locally difficult driving conditions and slippery roads. They recommend foals to be extra attentive, to consider the use of spikes, to drive according to the conditions and to calculate extra time for driving.

Heavy snowfall is expected in the mountain areas of Nordland on Sunday.
– From Sunday afternoon, it will blow up to a south-easterly gale in the mountains in Nordland. Together with the snow that is both on the ground from before and more top-up from above, this gives a strong snow front, the meteorologists say.
