The ban will come into force on 1 January next year, the Danish Ministry of Justice said in a press release on Tuesday.
It will still be allowed to use flags from the other Nordic countries, as well as Greenland and the Faroe Islands. German flags must also be raised. The same applies to flags representing international or regional associations, such as the UN and the EU.
There is also room for pirate flags, rainbow flags and flags with different logos and trademarks.
