On Tuesday, the head of the Nationalist Movement Party, Devlet Bahceli, made important statements about the party’s political future.
Bahceli stressed that the party is enthusiastically preparing for the local elections, where conferences will be held at the provincial and regional levels in an atmosphere of peace, brotherhood and high cooperation.
In his statements, Bahceli announced the date of his party’s fourteenth conference, which will be held on March 17, 2024, that is, two weeks before the municipal elections.
This conference comes in the context of the party’s preparations to direct a strong strategy and achieve outstanding success in the local elections.
Bahceli also spoke about the European Union file, stressing that it is over for the National Movement Party.
He explained that no matter how much the European Union wanted their cooperation to continue, the party would no longer be with them. He pointed out the necessity of closing the books with the European Union, either unilaterally or bilaterally by both parties.
Bahceli reiterated the Nationalist Party’s position on this issue, as he believes that it is Turkey’s duty to fulfill its role as an independent state and focus on developing and strengthening its laws and national sovereignty.
