Disneyland annual passholders hoping to snag a spot in the virtual queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure are going to need quick fingers and fast internet service if they hope to ride the new attraction during Magic Key previews.

Disneyland distributed the first batch of virtual queue spots for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure via the Disneyland app in just a few seconds on Monday, Oct. 21 at 7 a.m.

The second batch of virtual queue spots that became available at noon on Monday disappeared just as fast.

Disneyland Magic Key previews for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be held on 15 select dates through Nov. 12, before the new attraction opens to the general public on Nov. 15.

Monday’s preview rides will be held during a six-hour window between 3-9 p.m. Preview windows will stretch up to 13 hours on some dates in early November.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure can accommodate approximately 7,800 to 20,800 riders per day during the passholder previews, based on ride capacity estimates by Touring Plans.

Touring Plans measured Splash Mountain’s peak ridership at 1,350 riders per hour in May 2018 at Disneyland.

Touring Plans expects Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to have an hourly capacity of 1,300 to 1,400 riders during regular operation when the new attraction debuts at Disneyland with a theoretical maximum of 1,600 riders per hour.

A Disneyland reservation is required to get into the virtual queue, but it won’t guarantee a spot in line for the Magic Key preview of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

There’s no telling how many annual passholders Disneyland lets into the park on any given day — but chances are good some anxious keyholders will get shut out of previews each day.

The good news is passholders can keep trying throughout the preview period to snag a spot in line for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

The bad news is there is virtually no way Disneyland can get everybody in the park on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on any given day.

Disneyland attendance averaged approximately 47,260 visitors per day in 2023, according to a report by Themed Entertainment Association and AECOM.

Disneyland’s capacity is approximately 85,000 with the addition of the 14-acre Star Wars themed land, according to Touring Plans, which uses big data and statistical analysis to calculate daily theme park crowd sizes.
