Long before insiders and beat writers became more popular on social media, NBA fans often found themselves maniacally refreshing Woj’s timeline during the NBA Draft or in free agency.
Now, the renowned insider, the insider of insiders, if you will, has shared his final Woj Bomb.
Wojnarowski took to X to announce his retirement from the news industry, sharing his story, thanking everybody along the journey, and citing a need to spend more time on more meaningful things at this point in his life.

This will most likely leave Shams Charania as the solo king of NBA insight for the time being.
No insider has a perfect track record, but Woj was almost always spot-on with his reporting, even in those moments where he contradicted another insider’s report.
He spent years shedding light on what went down behind closed doors in the National Basketball Association, making the league feel somewhat more approachable for hundreds of thousands of fans.
This is definitely a sad and nostalgic day for sports journalism, but the show never stops, and we can only wish him the best as he enjoys his well-deserved time off after years of working around the clock.
