
The Sombor musical festivities – SOMUS are planned to take place from October 19 to 23 in the City Hall in Sombor. A large number of musicians from the region, but also from Europe and the world gather for this occasion.
SOMUS is a classical music festival and has been one of the recognizable brands of the city of Sombor for years. The eleventh edition brings five programs in five days of the festival: Team from Dreams, Crowd on the Stage, Extra-Virgin Romanticism, Three, Four (New) Now and Makedonissimo. Musicians from France, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Slovenia, USA will join local musicians and delight the audience with the works of the greatest composers of all time – Brahms, Bartok, Mozart, Strauss, Beethoven, Schubert…
– We are proud to continuously organize the oldest classical music festival in our country. SOMUS is of great importance for the city of Sombor, as evidenced by the always full halls, and we hope that this beautiful tradition will continue, both at this edition and in the years to come – said Vesna Šašić, director of the Cultural Center “Laza Kostić” Sombor .
All SOMUS programs are held in the City Hall’s Ceremonial Hall. The organizer of the festival is the Cultural Center “Laza Kostić” Sombor, with the support of the City of Sombor, the Ministry of Culture, the Provincial Secretariat for Culture, Public Information and Relations with Religious Communities and “C. Bechstein” center.
