Former Pitt and Philadelphia Eagles running back Dion Lewis was arrested Monday in Florida and faces a misdemeanor charge of trespassing, according to multiple reports.
Lewis, 32, was reportedly taken into custody at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa after police say he was “unruly and belligerent.” Per a Bleacher Report article, Seminole Police said that Lions was “causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the premises.”
He was reportedly released on $500 bond.
Lewis was taken in the fifth-round, 149th-overall, by the Eagles in the 2011 draft and played for the team through the 2012 season. He also had stints with the Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans and New York Giants before wrapping up his career in 2020.
Lewis was a member of the Patriots Super Bowl LI winning team.
He rushed for 2,425 yards in his career, and caught 191 passes for 1,408 yards. He scored 21 touchdowns.
