Decision Desk was the first to declare Trump the winner of the presidential election. Half an hour later it did Fox News the same, at the same time that they determined that Trump has won the state of Wisconsin – in addition to Pennsylvania.
Decision Desk has announced the winners of US presidential elections since 2012.
Other American media have not yet declared Trump the winner, but all forecasts show that he is headed for a clear victory.
The New York Times’ election barometer gave Trump a 95 percent chance of winning in the morning hours on Wednesday.
According to the newspaper’s forecast, he will get 306 electoral delegates, far more than the 270 needed to secure victory.
– Now there is only a theoretical chance that Kamala Harris will win the election, says TV 2p numbers cruncher Terje Sørensen on Wednesday morning.
Donald Trump has won in the southern swing states, and Harris therefore had to clean up in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin to have any hope of winning, Sørensen pointed out.
