The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for a crucial NFC East matchup against the New York Giants to open NFL Week 4 on “Thursday Night Football.”

Despite their recent stumbles, the Cowboys enter as road favorites, riding a wave of dominance over their division rivals.

Their impressive streak of six consecutive victories and 12 wins in the past 13 encounters against the Giants speaks volumes.

Knowing this, FOX Sports host Chris Broussard didn’t hold back in his assessment of the upcoming game.

“What do the Cowboys do to tomato cans? They squash them. … I am looking for a supreme beatdown tomorrow night. They are going to pummel the New York Giants,” Broussard said on “First Things First.”

Broussard’s bold predictions didn’t stop there.

He envisioned a standout performance from Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons, multiple sacks included, and suggested cornerback Trevon Diggs might get an interception, possibly even a pick-six.

The analyst also anticipated strong contributions from Dallas’ ground game and a varied passing attack from quarterback Dak Prescott.

However, for the Cowboys to secure a victory, they’ll need to address some key areas for improvement.

Finishing drives with a touchdown instead of settling for a field goal is crucial, as is finding offensive consistency.

Defensively, generating a robust pass rush and limiting big plays — issues that plagued them in home losses to the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens — will be vital.

Though the Giants have shown signs of improvement and are coming off their first win of the season, the Cowboys’ superior talent pool should give them an edge.

Yet, given the unpredictable nature of division rivalries, the game might prove closer than Broussard anticipates.
