“From Syria”… a hashtag that tops social networking sites in Türkiye

News about the arrival of desert dust coming from Syria to Turkey sparked widespread controversy on social media platforms in Turkey. The news created an increasing buzz among users, as the hashtag “coming from Syria” (#Suriyeden) became among the most trending hashtags in Turkey.

According to estimates from meteorological sources, desert dust coming from Syria is expected to enter Turkey in the next few days, exposing many Turkish cities to potential health risks, especially in the cities of Diyarbakir, Şanlıurfa, Elazig, Tunceli, Bengöl and Malatya.
