During the day, the former municipal doctor has admitted a total of three new rapes, according to Address newspaper.
The confessions came after he took the witness box after the women had explained themselves in the district court.
According to Bye’s defender Per Ove Sørholt, he admits to one case of rape for intercourse and one case of rape of the one woman. He has previously admitted to abusing his position towards this woman, but not to rape.
Bye now also pleads guilty to yet another rape of another woman he has previously confessed to one rape of.
At the same time, when asked by the prosecutor, he denied that there was any sexual motive.
Arne Bye is charged with the rape of 87 women and for abusing his position as a doctor to obtain sexual intercourse with a total of 94 women. The actions are said to have taken place in the period 2004 to 2022 while Bye was a GP and municipal superintendent in Frosta municipality in Trøndelag.
A total of 16 weeks have been set aside for the case. It ends in mid-February.
