– Kristoffer Ajer is making good progress. He has a great chance (to play) and he has been in training, says Brentford coach Thomas Frank to the club websites.
Ajer has missed Brentford’s last two games against Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday due to injury.
– Ajer has a minor injury to his foot. It’s not worth the risk to force him through this,” Frank said on Saturday, adding that he hoped to have Ajer back in a week’s time.
On Monday, the stage is set for the London derby between Brentford and Fulham and Ajer can already be back then.
It is also good news for national team manager Ståle Solbakken, who leads Norway against Slovenia and Kazakhstan in the national league in two weeks. There must be six points in addition to the Austrian point loss if there is to be a group victory.
On Tuesday, Solbakken will announce the national team squad for the two important matches.
