Gyutaro along with his sister, Daki were the main demons Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Tengen fought in the Entertainment District Arc. Gyutaro shared the Upper Moon Six position along with his sister and was known to have killed and eaten around 15 Hashira in the past. When he was human, he led a troubled life and only had his sister by his side.
When the two of them were on the verge of death because of a dispute with a samurai who almost killed them, an Upper Rank Demon known as Doma gave him their blood so they could become demons too.

As a demon, Gyutaro had lived for over a hundred years and had killed many innocent people, he was also a very skilled fighter due to all the fights he faced against Demon Slayers and Hashiras, he was also a skilled fighter when he was human. Just like most Upper Moon Demons, Gyutaro was extremely proud and arrogant, he always viewed those weaker than him as beneath him. As an Upper Moon Demon, Gyutaro power is clear when he goes head to head with the Sound Hashira, Tengen along with Tanjiro, the speed at which he moves is incredible, as he was able to dodge both Demon Slayer’s attacks at immense speeds. Because of his speed and agility, Tengen and Tanjiro both found it hard to track and predict his moves initially.

Gyutaro also did not fight with just brute strength but was tactical and intelligent when it came to landing attacks on his opponents. He is cunning in battle and is able to exploit the weakness of his opponents and adjust his tactics as needed, because of his sadistic nature, he alsoadds insult to injury by tormenting his enemies psychologically. Similar to other Upper Moon Demons, Gyutaro also possesses quick regenerative abilities and is able to quickly heal from injuries during battle, making it extremely difficult to kill him. Even though Gyutaro was up against technically one Hashira and three Demon Slayers, there were many instances in which he had the upper hand, this shows that even though he was just an Upper Moon Six Demon, he still had the power to take on all four of them with his sister’s help.

Gyutaro’s Blood Demon Art is also one of the most powerful seen in the series, as he is able to manipulate his own body to form weapons. He is able to create sharp curved sickles using his blood that can be used for both offensive and defensive attacks, these blood sickles can be launched in any direction and is impossible to track its direction, this allows Gyutaro to attack his opponents from all directions. Because of his immense speed, Gyutaro can also unleash a multiple of blood sickle attacks making it even harder for opponents to dodge them. Another factor his Gyutaro’s Blood Demon Art is also that his blood is extremely poisionous, this means any attack landed with his sickles on his opponent means they are directly poisoned, eventually weakening them, this is seen when Tanjiro is slashed multiple times and becomes weaker and is almost completely paralyzed.
Gyutaro is also able to use his Blood Demon Art to coordinate attacks with his sister Daki. He is able to coordinate his attack with her sashes, creating multiple attacks, this is seen when his sister and him are fighting the three Demon Slayers and Hashira at the same time. A few of Gyutaro’s special moves such as Rampant Arc Rampage allows him to create a barrier of sickles as a defensive move. Another powerful move he is able to execute is known as Rotating Circular Slashes, an attack that allows him to unleash circular waves of hardened blood, he is able to unleash this attack even though his head is cut off, a self-exploding technique. Gyutaro’s Blood Demon Art combined with his fighting skills make him a powerful Demon and is a force to be reckoned with.
