RISE FROM THE ASHES is the fourth of seven Klues in Season 8 of Invasions Mode and can be found in the Shang Tsung’s Laboratory Mesa. It’s tied to the Quick Beatdown Node, which is located just to the right of the first-floor portal through which Mortal Kombat 1 players first enter the Mesa.

Those hoping to solve the RISE FROM THE ASHES Klue will need to perform Liu Kang’s Rising Phoenix Animality, which they can do by pressing Down, Back, Down, Back Punch (Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox, or X on Switch) while standing at medium range. If done correctly, Liu Kang will transform into a mighty phoenix and engulf the other kombatant in a violent explosion of flames. He then rises from the ashes, after which, players will be returned to the map screen and the debris that had previously been blocking their path will be destroyed.
RISE FROM THE ASHES Klue Rewards
Solving the RISE FROM THE ASHES Klue will reward players with Raiden’s Frenzied Thunder Skin, the Automatic Cybertronic Shinslayer Epic Talisman, and 100 Season Kredits. Automatic Cybertronic Shinslayer is a Blood Assist Talisman that deals massive life damage, while the Seasonal Kredits can be spent at the Seasonal Store. As usual, players will be able to purchase time-limited cosmetics there, although starting this season, they’ll also find a selection of permanent Brutalities for each of the game’s playable kombatants.
