A spokesman said, International Monetary Fund “We are watching with great concern the escalation of the conflict in the region. The current conflict is causing heavy human casualties and damaging physical infrastructure in southern Lebanonand exacerbates the already fragile macroeconomic and social situation in Lebanon.”
And it was Lebanese Minister of EconomyAmin Salam confirmed in exclusive statements to Sky News Arabia that the economic situation in Lebanon is “in a very difficult and delicate situation.”
He pointed out that Lebanon is currently implementing an emergency plan to try to save the economic situation in the country, but the continued escalation “will take the country towards a difficult and unknown situation” even with the continuation of international aid and support.
