The Cincinnati Bengals are 0-2 for the fourth time in five years since drafting Joe Burrow and will look to avoid falling to 0-3 when they take on the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football in Week 3.

Burrow recently revealed his thoughts about yet another 0-2 start and shared a glimpse into the team’s mentality going forward.

Burrow appeared on The Rich Eisen Show on Wednesday and said that the team has had one bad game and one decent game so far, but acknowledged “We’re in a good spot” and said, “We’re trying to improve every day, be more consistent, hopefully, we’ll get to where we want to by the end of the year.”

He brushed off the 0-2 start and said that there’s not one reason why this keeps happening and it’s due to various factors each year and doesn’t seem worried that the season is in any danger of falling apart.

Burrow is excited about the opportunity on Monday and said he believes he was playing the best ball of his career prior to his wrist injury last season, while also adding that there is always an adjustment period when coming back from an injury.

It’s about the response you’d expect from Burrow, who is always calm and stoic and not someone you worry about getting rattled or losing confidence after a few tough games.

This slow start isn’t shocking given all the offseason drama with Burrow’s top two receivers, as Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase both went public with their contract demands, and both struck out.

If Cincy goes 0-3 and loses to Washington, then it might be time to be a little worried.
