Joe Mazzulla is the head coach of the Boston Celtics and finally a champion.

He has worked incredibly hard to get the team to this point and isn’t done pushing them.

Speaking to the press, via Daniel Donabedian, Mazzulla said that he didn’t get a chance to enjoy the offseason because he has been solely focused on improving his team and getting them ready for the upcoming season.

Mazzulla said he also wants the team to connect with the community and show the world the fighting spirit of Boston.

That spirit was on full display last season, as the Celtics sat at the top of the Eastern Conference standings for practically the entire year and ultimately walked away with a Finals win.

But that was last year and this season will hold many different challenges for Mazzulla’s team.

First of all, it’s very hard for squads to win back-to-back championships.

Many times, they feel overly confident or run low on the fuel that got them across the finish line the season before.

Plus, the rest of the league will be aiming to take them down because they’re the best.

The Eastern Conference has improved over the last few months and the Celtics will face stronger versions of the Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, New York Knicks, and more.

That means the toughness Mazzulla talked about will have to be apparent from the very first game until the very last.

They have done it before, but can the Celtics do it again?
