Coming into the 2024 NFL regular season, the talk of the NFL in terms of rookies set to play on the professional level was all about the six quarterbacks that were taken in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, which was a league record.
The bulk of that conversation was about the three quarterbacks at the top of this incoming draft class: Caleb Williams (Chicago Bears), Jayden Daniels (Washington Commanders) and Drake Maye (New England Patriots).
All three of these rookie quarterbacks were thought to be game-changers for their teams, as Williams has the talent to be a superstar, Daniels is as entertaining as they come with the football in his hands, and Maye could be the next-best quarterback in New England since Tom Brady.
However, with three games in the books for most of these rookies and two games set to be played on Monday night, one offensive rookie has stood out amongst the rest, and he doesn’t play the quarterback position.
New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers has stolen the show from the other rookies in his draft class, as he’s been impressive in the first few games of his career, especially with what he did in Week 3, which has made him the new favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, according to NBC Sports Bet.

In the Giants’ first win of the season at the expense of the Cleveland Browns, Nabers caught eight passes for 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns, which puts him in select company in terms of leaders in those categories.
Only four other receivers sit above him in the receiving yards category, as he has now racked up 271 with three total touchdowns.
The four receivers ahead of him are Justin Jefferson (Minnesota Vikings), Jauan Jennings (San Francisco 49ers), Rashee Rice (Kansas City Chiefs) and Nico Collins (Houston Texans).
