The New York Giants are looking for their first win of the NFL season heading into Week 3.

After getting blown out by the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1, the Giants lost a close NFC East game to the rival Washington Commanders on the road in Week 2.

A key moment in the game came late, when standout rookie receiver Malik Nabers, who had a great day, had a crucial drop.

According to the New York Post, Nabers is having a hard time putting the play behind him.

“It’s hard to wash that kind of thing away. Once you look back on the record, you are going to feel like one of the losses was mine. I’m going to continue to move forward, get better, and work on how I cannot drop that pass again,” Nabers said, via JPAFootball.

It is funny how football works sometimes.

Nabers had an unbelievable day for a rookie receiver in his first divisional game.

He caught 10 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown on 18 targets but couldn’t grab that crucial fourth-down pass from quarterback Daniel Jones.

As tough as it might be to see right now, the Giants have themselves a star in Nabers.

The first-round pick is the clear-cut No. 1 option for the offense under head coach Brian Daboll.

This is especially true with former Pro Bowl running back Saquon Barkley now a member of the rival Philadelphia Eagles.

It will be interesting to see how Nabers responds to this adversity against the Cleveland Browns in Week 3.
