A 31-year-old Desert Hot Springs man accused of having sex with a minor and producing child pornography was arrested in Palm Springs this week.
San Bernardino County deputies began an investigation into a report of sexual intercourse with a minor that occurred in Yucca Valley on Oct. 20, the Sheriff’s Department stated.
Multiple warrants were issued for Dakota Lessnau after investigators determined he was responsible for several offenses against a minor victim.
Deputies served a search warrant at Lessnau’s home in the 12800 block of Calle Amapola in Desert Hot Springs on Nov. 20, the Sherrif’s Department stated.
Lessnau was not home but deputies said they located a rifle with an extended magazine, suppressor, drugs and possible evidence related to the sex crime.
Detectives in Palm Springs later located and arrested Lessnau, who was booked on suspicion of unlawful sex with a minor, oral copulation with a minor, production of child pornography, sending obscene matter to a minor and burglary.
