A Southern California man was arrested for allegedly operating a brothel at his massage parlor in Riverside County.
The suspect was identified as Haiwei Donkersgoed, a 58-year-old Victorville resident, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies initially received a tip about a “possible illicit massage parlor” operating in the 45000 block of San Pablo Avenue in Palm Desert.
On Nov. 26, a search warrant was served at the business where evidence led to Donkersgoed’s arrest, authorities said.
Two females were also located at the scene and identified as possible victims of human trafficking.
Donkersgoed was arrested for maintaining a brothel and booked into the John Benoit Detention Center, officials said.
The case remains under investigation and no further details were released.
“The Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force seeks to disrupt and dismantle sex trafficking rings operating within Riverside County and will aggressively identify, pursue, and apprehend those who exploit the most vulnerable,” deputies said.
