Man connected to fatal O.C. domestic abuse incident arrested in San Bernardino 

Detectives have arrested a man believed to be responsible for murdering his girlfriend in a domestic dispute at their home in Orange County. 

According to the Santa Ana Police Department, a call regarding a suspicious death inside a residence in the 1000 block of West MacArthur Boulevard was received around 2:34 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers responded to the home and located a woman, identified as 29-year-old Amy Magpoc, deceased in a bedroom. 

The Orange County Coroner’s Office later determined the death to be a homicide, SAPD stated. 

“During the investigation, officers learned from witness interviews that Amy resided at the location with her boyfriend,” police said. “Based on the information gathered, he was identified as a suspect in the homicide.” 

The boyfriend, 33-year-old Daniel Lynch, was tracked down and arrested in San Bernardino without incident, authorities said. 

He was booked at the Santa Ana Jail for one count of murder.
