After a tough Week 1 loss to the Chargers, the Raiders faced their share of criticism.

Maxx Crosby, however, used this negativity as fuel for their matchup against the Ravens.

His performance was nothing short of spectacular, racking up six tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, and a pass breakup. Crosby’s impact was felt when the team needed it most.

In a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s Let’s Go podcast, Crosby shared insights into the team’s mindset.

When Jim Gray questioned their belief during the early 10-point deficit, Crosby stood firm.

He emphasized that their unwavering self-belief was the driving force behind their comeback.

“It was not giving up. We believed in each other,” Crosby explained. “At the end of the day, it’s never going to be pretty in the National Football League. Week to week, it’s always different. You see the Rams going toe to toe with the Lions and this week they lose by 30 to the Cardinals. You can’t predict what goes on in the NFL.”

Moreover, Crosby’s confidence suggests this victory could be the beginning of a larger turnaround.

For this to materialize, the Raiders need to maintain the level of complementary football they displayed in the latter stages of the Ravens game.

The Raiders’ comeback may have significantly altered their season’s trajectory, even though it’s just one game.

Now standing at 1-1, they’re set to host the struggling Carolina Panthers in Week 3, followed by a home game against the beatable Cleveland Browns in Week 4.
