Some shocking news hit the ESPN wire on Wednesday morning.
The network’s premiere NBA insider, Adrian Wojnarowski, is retiring from ESPN.
While on ESPN Radio, Get Up host Mike Greenberg gave his take on Wojnarowski’s decision to retire from the company.
“I’m not that surprised by this…He’s the best ever to do it…No one has done a job better than he has done …I wish him nothing but the best,” Greenberg stated.

Wojnarowski started working for ESPN back in 2017 and has been the premiere insider for all things NBA.
Much like Adam Schefter when it comes to the NFL or Jeff Passan when it comes to the MLB, Wojnarowski was the authority on all things for his sport.
The 55-year-old is now reportedly set to become the general manager of the St. Bonaventure men’s basketball program.
A graduate of St. Bonaventure in 1991, the former sports columnist is set to be in control of all the major operations when it comes to his old school.
Time will tell whether or not ESPN either looks to one of its own insiders to replace Wojnarowski, or they try to bring in another veteran NBA reporter.
Regardless, as Greenberg said, Wojnarowski was the best to do it and will certainly be missed at the company.
It will be interesting to see how he fits in as an executive as opposed to being an insider.
