Earlier this week, it was announced that the night trains on the Nordlandsbanen will be canceled until new locomotives are in place.
The locomotive shortage is due to the train accident in Hemnes, where one person died.
So now SJ is introducing measures to strengthen Christmas traffic.
– We understand that the situation with canceled night trains is frustrating for our customers. We try to put the customer first in every situation, even in a demanding situation like this. That is why we have now managed to fit more carriages on the day trains where we know there is a great demand, says communications director Randi Ness in SJ in a press release.
She reminds that passengers have the right to a rebooking or refund if the train is cancelled.
