Israel continues to target Lebanon and the Ministry of Health is on alert

Since the early morning hours, Israel has continued to bombard multiple areas in the south. Lebanon.

The Lebanese border witnessed violent Israeli raids, amounting to about 300 raids on towns in the south and the Bekaa, and villages and towns were targeted for the first time since the beginning of the tension.

According to media outlets, Israeli aircraft raided the town of Tyre Dibba and Abbasiya in Tyre district, as well as the town of Haris and Birkat al-Jabour in the Jezzine area.

It also raided the towns of Kafr Hata, Babeliya, Kawthariya al-Sayyad, and al-Ghassaniya in the valleys, and targeted two residential buildings in the towns of Babeliya and Sarafand.

While the Haboush road was subjected to an airstrike, and the towns of Marjeyoun district “Houla, Majdal Selm, Barashit, Kounine, Blida, Taloussa, Markaba, Wadi al-Hujayr, Taybeh, Qabrikha, and Mays al-Jabal” were subjected to an airstrike.

The Zahrani region also witnessed violent raids, the latest of which was on the towns of Ghazieh, Maghdouche, Qanarit, and the area between Anqoun and Maghdouche, in addition to a raid on Wadi Tanbourit.

Other areas in the south were also subjected to heavy shelling, including Aita al-Shai, Aitaroun, and others.

Wave of displacement and health alert

As a result of these Israeli raids, some of these areas witnessed a large displacement towards the capital Beirut. The United Nations peacekeeping forces “UNIFIL” also asked its civilian employees to leave the south with their families.

I ordered Lebanese Ministry of Health Hospitals in the south and east of the country were ordered to halt non-emergency operations to make way for treatment of those wounded in Israel’s massive airstrikes, while calling on residents to stay away from Hezbollah positions.

In a statement, the ministry asked “all hospitals in the southern governorates, Nabatieh, Baalbek-Hermel, and the governorates of South Lebanon to stop all cold operations in order to make room for treating the wounded due to the Israeli aggression on Lebanon.”

Official condemnation

Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati denounced what he described as Tel Aviv’s “destructive plan” in light of the heavy raids on the south and east of the country, coinciding with its call for residents to stay away from Hezbollah sites.

Mikati said in a speech on the sidelines of a government session, “The continued Israeli aggression on Lebanon is a war of extermination in every sense of the word and a destructive plan that aims to destroy villages and towns,” renewing his call on the United Nations, the Security Council, and influential countries to deter this aggression.
