JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is home to one of the most unique power systems in the anime world. Known as Stands, this system offers all kinds of abilities that depend on the user. As the powers are very diverse, they can either be devastating or underwhelming.

In the case of some Stands, they don’t need their user to be ingenious to pull off victories. These Stands offer ridiculous abilities to their owners that allow them to beat their opponents with ease. In JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, there are a handful of overpowered Stands, but which ones are the most overwhelming?

One might think that the author might run out of ideas after writing nine parts with a plethora of Stands, but he has proven that he is a creative genius.

One of the toughest challenges that he has faced is probably making the Stands powerful. Regular Stands might have interesting designs, but it is the powerful Stands that draw in the audience. As a result, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has many overpowered Stands that have enough strength to demolish an opponent within seconds.

26 Jumpin’ Jack Flash

• User: Lang Rangler
• Part: Stone Ocean

Jumpin’ Jack Flash is a close-range Stand that belongs to Lang Rangler, a secondary antagonist from Stone Ocean. Jumpin’ Jack Flash possesses the lethal ability to remove gravity. The only way that Lang Rangler can remove gravity from someone is by spitting on them. This might be the biggest disadvantage that it has; otherwise, the Stand has no notable weaknesses.

If a person affected by gravity removal touches another person or object, they also suffer the same fate. Ultimately, the air around the victim becomes weightless, and it creates a vacuum. If the target has a wound, their blood is drained, causing the boiling of the bloodstream.

25 Ozon Baby

Poor Tom’s Ozon Baby is an automatic stand, making it perfect for long encounters. Ozon Baby is effective within a range of 100 meters. If Poor Tom wanted to enhance the effects, he could get closer to the Stand’s location.

Ozon Baby has the ability to manipulate air pressure. Upon activation, Ozon Baby increases the air pressure inside a room. Any human trapped within the room will experience symptoms such as nosebleeds and pain in the ears. If a person tries to step out of the room, depressurization will set in, causing the dissolved air to create bubbles within the blood vessels. As a result, the capillaries will burst and cause bleeding in the eyes, ears, and nose.

24 Under World

Donatello Versus’ Under World is one of the most underrated Stands in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Under World is not a powerful physical Stand, so it would easily lose to a close-range Stand. So Donatello Versus needs to be careful while dealing with enemies.

Under World has the ability to dig a memory related to a person or an event from the ground. Not only can it be used to learn about the opponent, but it can be utilized to trap them within a certain memory. When it successfully traps the target in a reenacted memory, the only way to escape is to find a loophole. Otherwise, they will certainly die.

23 Beach Boy

Beach Boy is the Stand of Pesci who was a member of the Assassination Squad. One of the main reasons why Beach Boy is often overlooked in terms of strength is because of Pesci. He was unable to use the Stand to its fullest, which tricked a lot of fans into believing that Beach Boy was an average Stand.

Beach Boy is deadly in both close and long range. The user has to cast the line to trap the target with the hook. Upon making contact, the hook can travel through the body and reach a vital organ. Subsequently, the user can tear the organ apart, instantly killing the target. The string emanating from Beach Boy cannot be destroyed, and any damage to it will be reflected back at the victim. The string can also gather information and send it to the user via the rod.

22 Green, Green Grass of Home

Green, Green Grass of Home is an odd Stand that belonged to the Green Baby. As the user is a literal baby, the Stand’s job is much harder as it has to do most things on its own. Green, Green Grass of Home activates its power whenever an individual tries to get close to the Green Baby. The closer a person gets, the smaller they become. This eliminates any physical advantage they might have.

If the target doesn’t stop moving toward the Stand user, Green, Green Grass of Home’s power will turn them so small that the baby can kill them. If that doesn’t work, the Stand can manifest itself and kill the victim.

Risotto Nero’s Metallica is a devastating power that can take down enemies without them having a chance to react. The Stand does have great physical strength, but it makes up for it with numerous potent abilities. Metallica can freely manipulate the iron inside the body of a person and use it to create sharp objects to destroy their body from within. The loss of iron and blood leads to a slow and painful death.

Metallica can also stick iron particles on Risotto Nero’s body, causing the light to be reflected. This creates the illusion that he has disappeared, making it harder for the opponent to attack him. Risotto’s powers were put on display when he took on Doppio, who had almost no response to his attacks. If he weren’t lucky, Risotto Nero would have killed him much earlier.

20 Black Sabbath

• Part: Golden Wind

Black Sabbath was one of the earliest Stands to be introduced in Part 5. It belonged to Polpo, a high-ranking officer within Passione. Black Sabbath was an automated Stand that would follow simple commands. Black Sabbath is at its strongest while moving through shadows. It was so quick that even Gold Experience couldn’t keep up with it.

Black Sabbath is able to drag out the souls of people. This involves grabbing ahold of their shadows. If the person is a Stand user, Black Sabbath will drag out their Stand. Another unique ability of the Stand is that it cannot be destroyed.

19 The Grateful Dead

• Part: Golden Wind

The Grateful Dead belongs to Prosciutto, one of the members of the Hitman Squad. The Stand is not meant to be used in direct confrontations, as it is at a serious disadvantage against close-range Stands. The Grateful Dead has the ability to rapidly age an individual, causing them to be weakened both physically and mentally.

Prosciutto can deploy the power in two different ways. The first covers a large area, which is ideal for taking down multiple targets. However, it can affect one’s allies if they get within range. The other way involves direct contact with the victim’s body. This method is significantly quicker and far more lethal.

18 Wonder of U

• User: Tooru
• Part: JoJolion

Wonder of U is arguably the most powerful Stand wielded by a JoJo villain. It belongs to Tooru, who served as the main antagonist of JoJolion. The Stand’s power is activated whenever a person tries to pursue or attack Tooru.

Wonder of U immediately brings down a calamity that can potentially kill the person. These calamities can be caused by a great deal of misfortune, while others are brought about by the alteration of environmental factors. The only way to avoid the disasters is by forcing Wonder of U to attack. With such an incredible Stand, it’s hardly surprising that Josuke had to come up with a strategy and improve his Soft and Wet.

17 Cream

Cream is the Stand of Vanilla Ice, who was DIO’s most loyal underling. Following his revival by DIO, Vanilla Ice became a vampire. His body became more resilient, and his strength increased as well. However, the thing that made him a major threat was his Stand, Cream.

It is a close-range Stand that has the ability to create a portal that leads to another dimension. Anything engulfed by Cream’s mouth is disintegrated and sent to another dimension. Vanilla Ice would let himself be devoured by the Stand and turn into a big sphere. Due to this reason, it is almost impossible to fight Cream. However, Vanilla Ice is unable to see his surroundings while he is inside Cream. So, he has to peek outside to see the position of his enemies, which could prove fatal.

16 Heaven’s Door

• Part: Diamond is Unbreakable

Introduced in Diamond is Unbreakable, Heaven’s Door is the Stand of Kishibe Rohan. Heaven’s Door is weak in close-range combat, but its true power lies in its ability to turn people into books.

Anyone who is attacked by Heaven’s Door is incapacitated, which leaves them at Rohan’s mercy. The mangaka can then read all the information about the individual and write commands. The affected person must follow the orders at all costs. In case Rohan wants to remove the memory of a specific incident, he can simply order Heaven’s Door to do so. It is safe to say that it is one of the most overpowered Stands in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

15 Soft & Wet: Go Beyond

When the abilities of Tooru’s Stand were revealed, it became obvious that Josuke would have to improve his Soft & Wet somehow. He labored to find the solution to the problem, and he needed help from one of his allies.

Josuke managed to figure out that his bubbles rotated at high speeds, which he increased further with the help of Explosive Spin. This resulted in the creation of bubbles that exist in another world. They can pass through all kinds of barriers and erase anything that they touch. However, Soft & Wet: Go Beyond’s bubbles have to be guided toward the target.

14 Heavy Weather

Heavy Weather is the most powerful form of Weather Report’s Stand. Weather used this ability when he got his memory disc back. When Heavy Weather was activated for the first time, it started to rain poisonous frogs in the Green Dolphin Street Prison.

The Stand makes use of subliminal messages, and it can turn everyone into snails. Only Weather Report and blind people are truly immune to this power. With this ability, Weather Report could effectively destroy an entire city.

13 Chariot Requiem

Chariot Requiem is the Stand of Polnareff. It is a requiem Stand that has the power to control souls. This ability makes it one of the most overpowered Stands to be introduced in the series so far. Chariot Requiem can even turn the Stands against their users.

Furthermore, the Stand also has the ability to transform the souls of beings that are under its influence. Chariot Requiem achieves this by accelerating the transformation. The only weakness of the Stand is that if a person destroys the orb of light behind their head, Chariot Requiem would fall into pieces.

12 The Hand

• User: Okuyasu
• Part: Diamond is Unbreakable

While Okuyasu might not be the smartest character, his Stand is definitely among the strongest Stands in the series. The Hand is a close-range Stand and it is armed with the ability to erase anything from existence.

The Stand can only erase things with its right hand. Another disadvantage of the Stand is its speed. The Hand is extremely slow when it comes to reactions, but if the movements are timed right, the Stand can basically defeat anyone with a single hit.

11 Red Hot Chili Pepper

• Part: Diamond is Unbreakable

This Stand was introduced in Diamond Is Unbreakable, and it belongs to Otoishi Akira. The Stand is a long-range Stand, but its power is comparable to the short-range Stands. Red Hot Chili Pepper’s power can be increased by supplying the Stand with electricity.

When at full power, the Stand was able to overwhelm and blitz Josuke’s Crazy Diamond. The biggest drawback of the Stand is that it heavily relies on power sources.

10 Green Day

• Part: Golden Wind

Green Day is the Stand of Cioccolata, a member of Diavolo’s Special Squad. The Stand affects others via molds and these molds grow at an astoundingly quick rate, which allowed Cioccolata to destroy an entire city very quickly.

Once infected, if a person goes to a lower altitude, the mold will spread rapidly. Furthermore, the Stand can also be attached to the user’s body to save them from potential danger.

9 King Crimson/Epitaph

• User: Diavolo
• Part: Golden Wind

Diavolo was the leader of Passione, a big criminal organization. No one knew about his real identity and it was only towards the end of Golden Wind that Bruno and co. saw his real face.

Diavolo’s King Crimson played a major role in hiding his identity from his enemies.

King Crimson was able to skip time and predict future events. Both the abilities make King Crimson a very dangerous Stand, and Giorno needed to evolve his own Stand to beat it.

8 Killer Queen

• Part: Diamond is Unbreakable

Killer Queen is the Stand of Yoshikage Kira. The Stand is very versatile as it is armed with a variety of bombs. The first is activated when Kira touches another object or person.

Another bomb is Sheer Heart Attack, which is a long-range bomb, which is almost impossible to disarm. Finally, Killer Queen’s third bomb is Bites the Dust. Kira can plant this bomb into another person in order to prevent people from finding out his real identity.

7 Bohemian Rhapsody

Bohemian Rhapsody is a very unique Stand. It belongs to one of DIO’s illegitimate sons, Ungalo, who appears in Stone Ocean. The Stand has an infinite range, which allows it to affect the entire earth. In order for the Stand to work, a person must know about a fictional character, and once they recognize the character, they are taken into a different world.

They have to go through the same events as the fictional character. The only way to stop it is by creating another fictional character that can stop the others. The incredible range of Bohemian Rhapsody sets it apart from most of the Stands and makes it an overpowered ability.
