Motorcyclist ejected, run over twice in Porter Ranch

A motorcyclist is dead after he was ejected from his vehicle and struck by two hit-and-run drivers in the Porter Ranch area of the San Fernando Valley Thursday night.

The motorcyclist, a man in his early 20s whose identity has not been released, was “traveling at a high rate of speed” headed east on Devonshire Avenue near the intersection with Louise Avenue at about 9:50 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release.

At Louise Avenue, the motorcyclist ran a red light, police said, striking a vehicle headed north and ejecting the man onto Devonshire Street, where he was hit by two vehicles a few moments.

Police shared footage of the hit-and-runs to their YouTube channel.

The drivers of neither vehicle, a white SUV and a white sedan, stopped to help or identify themselves.

The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene.

A reward of up to $50,000 is available for information leading to the drivers’ apprehension or resolution through a civil settlement.
