The former party leader thus got second place on Rødt’s Oslo list for the general election next year.
At the last parliamentary election, Rødt managed to bring in two representatives from Oslo with 8.3 percent of the vote. Support in several opinion polls this autumn is at the same level, writes The online newspaper.
If this holds until the election, second place will thus mean a new parliamentary term for Moxnes. He can enjoy a political comeback after being caught snacking on sunglasses, cheese and salmon.
– A choice of direction
The nomination dispute between Rana and Moxnes has been described as a choice of direction for Rødt. Moxnes has made it clear that he fought to continue the political line that has given Rødt strong progress during his time as party leader. Among other things, he has highlighted the match against Forskjells-Norge.
Rana, who is currently elected to the city council in Oslo, has distinguished himself as a clear opponent of Norway sending weapons to Ukraine. She is considered to belong on the left side of the party.

Strong commitment
The nomination committee’s majority wanted Rana in second place, while a minority wanted Moxnes.
Over 700 members had announced in advance that they would be present at the meeting to vote on the Storting list. Unlike other parties that elect delegates, all the approximately 3,300 members of Oslo Red have the right to attend the nomination meeting.
First place has always been undisputed. A combined nomination committee advocated for Seher Aydar, and not unexpectedly, she also received the nomination meeting’s approval.
