Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Tuesday the killing of the leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, Hashem Safi al-Din, who was expected to succeed the party’s late Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, following an air strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut last week.
