NFL QB’s Game Jersey, Ball Are Headed To Hall Of Fame After Sunday Performance

There was a lot of talk about the Arizona Cardinals in the offseason, but it was mostly doubt.

People talked about how Kyler Murray needed to show up and prove to be worthy of that big contract he signed, as he’s either struggled or been hurt since that happened.

Fast forward to today, and the Cardinals have quietly been very good on offense, with Murray playing some of the best football of his career.

Drew Petzing is entering his second season in charge of the team’s offense, and Murray thrived in Week 2’s divisional win over the Los Angeles Rams.

As a matter of fact, his jersey and ball from Sunday’s 41-10 win over the Rams will be displayed at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, according to a report by Mark Dalton.

That’s after Murray became just the second player in NFL history to record at least 250 passing yards, 50 rushing yards, and a perfect 158.3 passer rating.

No one had done that since Ken Anderson did it with the Cincinnati Bengals back in 1974.

Murray’s talents have never been doubted.

Some have been concerned about his work ethic and leadership — or lack thereof — but he’s usually very hard to stop when he’s at his best.

Marvin Harrison Jr. also looked like the real deal after an underwhelming debut, and they could have one of the most electric tandems in the league in no time.

The Cardinals are 1-1, but they’ve averaged 34.5 points per game over two weeks, so people will have to keep an eye on them.
