Kvandal was in the running for a place on the podium until the jury made its decision. The 22-year-old’s jump suit did not pass the inspection, and thus it looks more difficult for Norway at home.
– There are things we should have control over that were not set today. It’s a shame, said Kvandal to NRK.
Slovenian Nika Prevc reached 138.5 meters and leads by a solid 11.6 points over runner-up Katharina Schmid after the first round. There is also a German in third place at Selina Freitag.
The best of the Norwegian jumpers before the final round is the 16-year-old Ingvild Synnøve Midtskogen. She is number five and has 8.2 points up to a place on the podium.
