– Prices tend to fall in October, so this was expected. The decline in Oslo was about the same as the average for October in the last ten years, says chief economist Sissel Monsvold in a press release.
Obos prices in the capital have risen by 7.5 per cent so far this year.
– It is much more than we had expected – given the many interest rate increases. The figures for October show that the market seems to be calming down somewhat, in line with the usual seasonal pattern, says Monsvold.
On average, prices in Oslo have fallen by 0.9 per cent in October over the past ten years. Over the past twelve months, prices in Oslo have risen by 4.6 per cent. Nationally, prices have risen by 4.7 per cent in the same period.
The price per square meter for used Obos homes was NOK 80,005 in Oslo in October, while it was NOK 69,046 nationwide.
