Persona Series Games Drop to Historically Low Prices on Steam

Key Takeaways

  • Six Persona games have dropped to historically low prices on Steam.
  • Most of the newly launched discounts are part of Sega’s recently started publisher sale, which will run until September 26.
  • The Persona Collection has also dropped to an all-time low price thanks to the ongoing sale.

Half a dozen Persona games have dropped to historically low prices on Steam. The newly introduced deals, which are part of a more comprehensive Sega sale, will be available to Steam users until late September 2024.

All Atlus Steam games published since the company started its ongoing PC porting push in 2019 have enjoyed periodic discounts throughout this period. As far as the Persona series is concerned, its PC entries typically go on sale every few months.

6 Persona Steam Games Drop to Historically Low Prices

In yet another example of this trend, half a dozen franchise entries and one bundle have dropped to historically low Steam prices on September 19, less than six weeks since the Persona series had its last big sale on Valve’s storefront. The majority of the newly launched deals are identical to their August 2024 counterparts, with the biggest savings being offered on Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Persona 5 Strikers, which are presently available at 70% off, or $8.99 and $17.99, respectively. Meanwhile, the fan-favorite Persona 5 Royal has dropped to $23.99, 60% off its regular price.

The ongoing promotion also includes one new all-time low price thanks to its 53% discount on the Persona Collection. This offer brings it down to $46.77, beating the bundle’s prior lowest price by $6.40. The only franchise entry that’s currently not available at a historically low price is Persona 3 Portable, which was already offered at 35% off on several occasions but is currently only discounted by 20%. Coincidentally, this particular deal also has a different expiry date than the rest, as it’s planned to be live until October 3. Persona fans have until September 26 to take advantage of all the other discounts.

These recently launched offers are part of Sega’s publisher sale, which also saw the company discount a large portion of its Steam library, including multiple Like a Dragon and Sonic titles. Historical precedent suggests that the Japanese gaming giant will hold at least one more big Persona series sale before the end of the year, most likely around Black Friday 2024.

Be that as it may, this ongoing promotion still offers the most affordable entry point to the franchise that PC gamers have ever had. It hence serves as an excellent opportunity to start playing Persona games in order, and catch up on the series before its much-anticipated sixth mainline installment hits the market. On that note, recent rumors suggest that Persona 6 is targeting a 2025 release and could be announced as early as late 2024. Much like Persona 3 Reload, the upcoming JRPG is expected to be a day-one release on PC.
