The man’s defender, lawyer Espen Wangberg, says the client acknowledges all the essentials in the indictment, according to NRK.
– He has explained himself in detail, thoroughly and comprehensively about his role in a number of police interviews, and he will explain himself in the district court next week. And he will rant there both about his role and otherwise how the case has progressed, as he sees it, says Wangberg to NRK.
The man in his 30s is considered one of the main characters behind the operation together with his wife in her 50s. The wife also pleads guilty.
Six men and two women, led by a Norwegian-Ukrainian couple, are charged in the major prostitution case. Their business had a turnover of over NOK 50 million.
Over the course of a year and a half, they allegedly promoted the prostitution of at least 150 women in at least 49 different apartments, spread over 13 municipalities around the country.
The indictment was announced before the weekend.
The case was discussed by NRK in July 2022, but the indictment was only brought out in June this year, and it is only now that the case has been scheduled.
26 court days have been set aside for the case, which begins in the Oslo District Court on 3 December.
