Quiet conditions that we experienced over the weekend will carry over into the start of the new week. There is a cold front to our northwest that will move through the area over the next 24 hours.
As the front moves in you will notice an uptick in our winds. The front will also come through and there will not even be much cloud cover associated with it.
Temperatures remain warmer than average. Highs in the 80s will be accompanied by a few low 90s.
Due to more wind to the north combined with warm and dry conditions, our Southwest Nebraska counties will be under a Fire Weather Warning today.
Once that is allowed to expire, low temperatures will dip back down into the 40s and 50s. Areas to the northwest will be chilly with lows being just a few degrees shy of the 30s.
The cold front will bring us back down to fall-like standards when it comes to afternoon highs. We will warm right back up after that.
There is another front that moves in later this week. Other than a gusty wind shift, there will not be any moisture with it.
We stay stuck in this pattern through the rest of the week.
