Russian peacekeeping forces organized the evacuation, Moscow calls for a ceasefire

YEREVAN – Today, Russian peacekeeping forces organized the evacuation of the civilian population of Nagorno-Karabakh from the most dangerous regions and provided medical assistance to the injured citizens.

“During the day, 469 people, including 185 children, were transferred to Russian peacekeeping troops.” The emergency aid of the special purpose medical platoon provided assistance to nine wounded citizens, including four children”, according to the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The command of the Russian peacekeeping forces called on the conflicting parties in Nagorno-Karabakh to immediately cease fire, take measures to de-escalate the situation and continue the negotiation process, reports RIA Novosti.

As stated in the statement of the Russian troops, during the day numerous violations of the ceasefire by the Azerbaijani side along the line of contact were recorded, reports Tanjug.
