The New York Jets looked like real Super Bowl contenders in Thursday night’s dominant 24-3 win over the rival New England Patriots.

Star quarterback Aaron Rodgers looked like his MVP self as he went 27 of 35 passing for 281 yards and two touchdown passes.

However, Fox Sports personality Skip Bayless still has some questions about Rodgers moving forward.

“I’m still not sold on Aaron Rodgers at 40 going on 41 wearing well throughout this season…I like the Jets a lot. I just don’t really buy into their quarterback,” Bayless said Thursday night in a video that he posted to social media.

This has to be considered one of the more odd takes from the sports media world after the game.

Obviously, the Patriots are not quite Super Bowl contenders as things currently stand.

However, they are still a well-run team and organization with a dominant recent history when it comes to facing the Jets.

Aaron Rodgers walked into that stadium and simply refused to give New England any sort of hope.

He played like his old Green Bay self as he completed over 77% of his passes and had a passer rating of over 118.0.

The Jets will face teams like the Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans when they get to them, but all they can do is take care of business in the present.

Rodgers and the offense did that in a big way.

Doubting Rodgers might not be the wisest of moves with the way that he is starting to get the gears rolling offensively.
