Draymond Green has brought a lot of success to the Golden State Warriors, but he has also caused the team more than a few headaches over the years.

Speaking to the “Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz”, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr revealed the time that Green made him most angry.

Unsurprisingly, Kerr said it was when Green punched former teammate Jordan Poole during the middle of a practice session a couple of seasons ago.

“He crossed the line with Jordan and he knows it. He knew it immediately, and it made that season incredibly difficult for everybody,” Kerr said.

This was a dark moment in Warriors history and one that changed the path of the team.

On October 5, 2022, Green and Poole got into an interaction during a practice.

Words were said, tempers flared, and Green eventually punched Poole in the face.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, the whole incident was caught on tape and quickly made the rounds online.

Green would step away from the team for a short while but returned at the start of the season and both he and Poole said they were putting the episode behind them.

But Kerr’s statement makes it clear that the punch really messed with the team.

At the end of that season, he publicly said the trust within the team had been fractured, suggesting that the Green-Poole punch was felt all year long.

In the seasons since, Poole has left the Warriors and Green has experienced more problems because of his physical outbursts.

Sadly, Kerr had a few moments to choose from but he said Green’s punching of Poole was when he was most upset with his star player.
