TCG Card Shop Simulator: All Card Rarities Explained

In TCG Card Shop Simulator, rarity applies to both the card packs and the cards contained within them. When you first start the game, you only have access to Tetramon Base packs. As you keep playing, gaining XP, and increasing your Shop Level, you’ll also unlock Tetramon Destiny packs.

These packs have four types of rarities:

  • Common (Blue): These are the absolute basic cards that you start the game with.
  • Rare (Yellow): Unlocked at Shop Level 5
  • Epic (Pink): Unlocked at Shop Level 12
  • Legendary (Red): Unlocked at Shop Level 20

Apart from this categorization, the game also gives you Foil cards and Non-Foil cards. Foil cards have a shiny effect and are relatively rarer than Non-Foil cards. While the card packs have four rarities, the rarity for the cards works a bit differently.

For the cards, there are seven levels of rarities.

  • Normal Cards: Your basic cards without any special borders or effects
  • 1st Edition Cards: A tier above Normal Cards with “1st Edition” text under the picture. It also has a white border.
  • Silver Edition Cards: these cards come with a silver border and feature the text “Silver Edition” under the image.
  • Gold Edition Cards: These cards feature a golden border and have “Gold Edition” text below the picture.
  • Ex Cards: These cards are hard to find and have an “EX” text under the picture. The border for these cards has a gold/yellow gradient design.
  • Full Art Cards: These cards are also very rare and can sell for a lot of money. The picture of the Tetramon covers the entire card in Full Art Cards.

This applies to both Foil and Non-Foil cards.

At the absolute top of the rarity food chain are Ghost Full Art Cards in TCG Card Shop Simulator. These cards can drop from any pack, but the chances are higher when you open a higher rarity card pack. In Tetramon Base Packs, there’s a 1 out of 1000 chance of players finding a Ghost Card. In Tetramon Destiny packs, the chance goes up to 1 out of 500.

Ghost cards have a unique monochromic effect with no border and a Full Art effect.
